eleanor: five months!

omg so teeny tiny

weight
from my ever so accurate weighing system, she is maybe 14.6lbs

health
knock on wood, one more month until she can get her flu shot. for this health conscious mom, its been a constant worry. and after we get it were getting on a plane! and going swimming! and going and seeing all the friends and going to all the places! (probably not since i tend to be a lame introvert. but maybe we will try. there are a few people and places i would like to see/go)

clothes
i shouldnt be surprised that i had to pack up all of the 3 month clothes (sad, sad, cue all the tears)... i mean, she is 5 months! haha. why oh why cant they stay little for longer? shouldnt we just have another one? jk. maybe. but she was just so little for so long i was definitely just in denial that she would ever get big. she is now rocking the 6 month clothes and i need to start shopping for 9 month clothes since we had an overload of newborn to 6 months and now we have literally nothing after that! good thing i love shopping! (and for grandmas!)

i might have clothes that fit now but someone needs to hire me a new stylist!

sleep
this little girl is a pro at sleeping, minus during the day. well, some days she likes sleeping, but for the most part she will sleep 11 to 12 hours overnight (seriously), wake up and have a bottle and some food, play for a little bit then go back down for a nap. this is usually her longest nap (the first one in the morning). then she is up for about 3 hours then down again, although that nap has been short recently (45 minutes to an hour). she will take another short nap in the late afternoon, eat, play, then head to bed around 630pm or 7pm. rough life.

you want me to sleep?

nah.

also, nope.

crying
there have been a few instances of crying this past month, for reasons unknown. well, one time she wailed because i bit her. yes, you read that right. i bit her. on accident. long story short she quickly stuck her teeny tiny pinky finger in my mouth when we were laughing and playing and i didnt know and was talking to her and chomped right down. worst mom ever. we both cried actually. shes already forgotten about it but i never will.

milestones
definitely more verbal and laughing a lot! she has found her feet, rolls over and over, reaches and grabs for things. this is a fun age of discovery and you can just see her little brain working.

baby gear love
her jumper seat! she loves to jump (not sure if i can add a video into here but ill try!). we still put her on the piano mat now and then but since she is rolling she doesnt stay on her back long or stay occupied with that. she fits in the walker seat (her feet dont yet touch the floor so its still stationary) but we have coined that the "poop seat" because every time we put her in there she poops... and its a mess! all up her back. and one time she had a puddle under her. its so ridiculous.

little help here guys?

probably pooping

outings
still limited to the outings that we have to go on, appointments and target/hannaford (necessary, of course).

getting some fresh air and picking up brother from the bus

diapers
still in target brand size 2, definitely has outgrown the huggies size 2. we will be starting size 3 soon, especially at night to start.

diet
this past month we started on some basic foods- sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, and carrots. so far she has done very well and has enjoyed all of them. up next, avocado! daddy tried to feed her peas when mommy was at work... i had left a note saying there were sweet potatoes and pears in the fridge. he sent me a picture of the peas and said "wish me luck!" i didnt get the text for about a half hour and called when i saw it, basically saying wtf are you doing?! (she shouldnt have peas until 6 months). apparently she spit them out anyway and refused to eat them. good girl ;)

i can help you with that

im ready. more please.

i do believe my fingers are equally as tasty

yummmm

likes
she especially loves shoving her hands in her mouth while she has food in there, then smearing it all through her eyes and hair. its a good thing she loves her baths too! she continues to be the most happiest baby on the planet. loves everything her brother does (and laughs at his silly dance moves).

dislikes
taking the bottle away when she isnt done to try to burp her. dont mess with this girls food!

go duke!

woo hoo superbowl champs!

happy 5 months, ellie bugs!
