eleanor: eleven months!

weight/height
no clue. ill do this for next month. i feel like she hasnt done much physical growing this month, but who knows that could be wrong (i should have measured her every month. maybe ill start now). they do so many doctors appointments when you're pregnant and the baby is born and then they have months in between so many of them now. just a weight and height update would be nice haha.

mom im big and happy and growing!
health
she tends to sneeze a lot (and many times in a row!) but other than that still a happy healthy kiddo.

food. i like food.

clothes
12-18 months seem to fit her best. there are still some 9 month onesies in her drawer/closet... and lets be honest, they'll be there for a while (and likely end up on her at some point). still havent gone through her drawers or closet any time recently. i do know that i have a ton of clothes in the basement... anyone having a baby girl any time soon?

sleep
still a great sleeper and napper. tends to fall asleep in the car if shes super tired (as long as henry isnt in there with her).

crying
she likes to belt out screams and real tears when she doesnt want to go to sleep or doesnt want to be put down on the floor to play, but other than that shes pretty happy.

milestones
she got her 6th tooth recently (bottom front right... so 4 teeth on the bottom, 2 on the top). she started waving (backwards), clapping, and pulling herself up onto things. not really that close to walking yet, very wobbly, but you know it wont be long until she is steadier and on the move.

baby gear love
well our love for the walker is pretty much over... while under the watchful eyes of the grammys (hehe it was NOT their fault, we just love saying this and henry definitely threw them under the bus saying they werent watching her, which we know was not the case)- she climbed over the side to reach for something and the whole thing fell over and she fell out. onto her head. had a small little mark. she didnt seem too phased by any of it. we've added one of ty's belts to see if we can keep her in, but you definitely need to watch her now. it was a nice babysitter while it lasted. we've set up some toys in the pack and play to keep her corralled but she isnt all too interested in being in there for long. i guess ill have to look back at henrys blog and pics to see what we used with him to keep him happy. this is a fun age but kinda tough at the same time.

still love the bob

reading time

outings
we went to the beach to beacon kids fun run to watch henry run, and then went away to the lake for a week! she loved being in the water, the wind chimes, and hanging out with aunt mary and cousin lindsay.

stylish in my new glasses

yes youre ok as long as you feed me

is that a bagel you have? ill take some too please
diapers
size 4 and 5. sadly the size 5 dont have the yellow/blue line. i hate when we get to that point! why are we already at that point?! why dont they just keep making the line?!

it was hot and she was protesting getting dressed. so we just didnt.

diet
she basically loves anything that we give her that she can feed to herself. we gave her some cheese which she liked, hard boiled egg, some pieces of turkey which she ate but didnt seem to love. pasta salad noodles (likely had a dressing on it and some feta cheese, she ate it all up!), and she tried ice cream and cake which were a huge hit (no surprise! practicing for next month!)

food

foooooooood

more food. all the food. please and thank you.

likes
bananas, feeding herself, (food in general), still loves bath time, playing with henry, chasing the cat around, putting everything in her mouth (including dog food. oops), playing with everything she shouldnt (including the toilet brush... omg double oops. also, gross eleanor)

had her first big girl bath!

and after 10.5 months daddy finally gave her a bath!

and had her first bath with brother!
(we take a lot of bath time pics)

dislikes
getting dried off/dressed after bath time, being told "no", the robot vacuum

dont worry guys, i got this

i cant even begin to belive that we are prepping for your 1st birthday. one more month... this year flew by. ellie bug, you are so incredibly fun and smart and continue to amaze us all every day. it has been so fun to watch you grow, and as much as i want time to slow down, we can wait to celebrate with you soon! xo

eleanor: ten months!

(the mostly type A in me is super annoyed that a) i didnt do all of the monthly pics either in the pink chair or the green blanket, not both, and b) that the lighting in the pink chair is different and the pictures dont all look the same. ugh. also, i again apologize that this blog post is likely awful/rushed and coming out just 8 days shy of her 11 month post... which likely wont be posted on time either!)

weight/height
shes growing. thats about all i know here. she has a long torso and chunky (strong) legs, and everyone that sees her thinks shes long/tall. her head seems to have grown into her body though and doesnt look so huge anymore.

40 weeks in...

40 weeks out!

health
all good still in this department!

clothes
she is mainly wearing 12 month plus. baby clothes drives me insane... we have 6 month pants in one brand that are bigger than 12 months of another brand, we have some clothes of the same brand where the sizes are so weird (two shirts that are both 12 months are totally different sizes), she has 18 month pajamas that are almost too small... i need to do a complete overhaul soon, weve gotten tons of clothes from some of my friends and clearly we still have things in the closet that are too small (and yet i still attempt to put her into it). oops.

yeah these dont fit anymore

sleep
shes occasionally fighting going to bed now, complete fear of missing out for sure. but some days she goes right down (around 7pm) and she will sleep until about 630am. she is still rocking two naps for the most part. doesnt like sleeping anywhere but her own crib, which is a bit of a problem. unlike henry was, if she is super tired and wont nap you can put her in the car and start driving and she is asleep within minutes. the problem then becomes you are driving around aimlessly while she naps. oh well.

oh hey guys. no sleeps for me right now thanks.

see this is way more fun than sleeping!

you guys think i would miss wheel of fortune?!

crying
just screams when she doesnt want to be put down for bed or if someone she doesnt know (well) tries to hold her or gets too close. a little stranger danger isnt a bad thing. but overall a very happy child, as im sure you can tell.

milestones
this was the month of doing all the things! she crawls, she is starting to pull herself up (but doesnt stay up), she now has 5 teeth (bottom 3, top 2), says mama, is clapping... its such a fun age!

baby gear love
i feel like were kinda in between baby gear now... the little baby stuff is basically getting packed up (well its in the office on the floor) because shes growing out of it, and the stuff for when she starts to walk hasnt come out yet. she isnt entertained by the stationary seats any more yet you also cant just leave her on the blanket with toys (she ends up coming to see what you are doing in the kitchen or the bathroom). the thing i am loving the most (which kinda does have to do with her... in a way) is the new deebot vacuum we got on amazon prime day haha. it helps get up all the dog hair so now that she is roaming all around she doesnt end up eating it all! (gross). but seriously its so great. comes with a remote control, but you can also use your phone, watch, and alexa to control it. ridiculous. welcome to 2019. if only the baby gates that we bought were as easy... trying to put those together on a 95 degree day ended up with me swearing and throwing it all back in the box and threatening to return them.

outings
we traveled down to new hampshire to see grandpa speckman for lunch and she enjoyed sitting in her big girl restaurant chair to be eating with everyone. we spent a lot of time in the pool (our little backyard one as well as our friends pool since july was the hottest month ever). we spent an eventful camping trip at the maine forest yurts (seriously you all need to go there!)... ellie wasnt a huge fan but to be fair it was so hot and humid (duke didnt care for it either. ellie and i spent a lot of time in the car so she could cool down, henry enjoyed the pond. mom and dad enjoyed some drinks). we went up to the lake with brayden and aileen, and had picnics at the park. lots of fun outings!

diapers
starting to use size 5, still fits into 4.

diet
trying all sorts of new things now. she loves scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs, yogurt and avocado for breakfast. cucumber, melon/watermelon, sweet potatoes. all the puffs. still loves her "ba's" (bottles), pureed chicken/turkey, greens and i caved and got the pureed mac and cheese. it smells ok but i didnt try it (she loves it).

still unsure about watermelon
likes
i truly cant think of anything she doesnt like. oh wait thats a lie... diaper changes. but she still loves her baths (we still have her in her pink tub... i say "we" like there are others who give her baths (oh wait, grandma does!)... its been what, 300 days we have had her and dad has yet to give her a bath. i think hes afraid, which is understandable... especially now that she loves shoving her face right down into the water and drinking the soapy water. oof.

dislikes
its almost a danger to herself (and others) when were trying to change her diaper. she arches her back, swings her body to flip over onto her belly, has almost gone off the changing table head first and off the back... its ridiculous. and changing her on the floor she tries to crawl away. its just a ridiculous scene.

adventures in feeding herself (which always ends in the bath, which she loves)

happy 10 months little bug!
