weight/height
ellie had her 9 month check up and weighed in at 18lbs 10oz and is 29in long.... and still has a huge noggin.
health
growing strong and healthy! likely due to all the work she does on her stretches.
clothes
she is in mostly 12-18 month clothes now. i definitely need to do another closet overhaul since i know there are 6 month items in there still... no surprise. (although i put her in a pair of 6 month pants and those fit. like truly fit, not just me trying to make them fit. even clothes within the same brand fit different, its so weird).
sleep
ellie continues to be a great sleeper at night (sorry meghan!), and is taking two solid naps during the day. however, she needs to be asleep at night/nap at home in her crib or pack and play. she didnt do so well on a sleepover at nee's house. sigh. im happy we have the routine that we do but it bites us in the ass sometimes.
crying
unless shes super tired (and not in her crib) or shes hungry, shes overall a pretty happy camper. she has her moments, she is, after all, a baby... but were pretty lucky. shes super chill/go with the flow kinda kid.
milestones
again she is almost crawling but not quite there yet... she just rolls and rolls and rolls to wherever she needs to get to. top teeth are (still!) trying to break through. shes almost able to hold her own bottle. her words now include "pa pa", "ba ba", and "la la" and a whole lot of babbling. were anxiously awaiting those m's and d's to come along! her top teeth are so close to popping through (i cant believe they havent yet!). she points to things, picks up her food pieces, and reaches up for you when you ask if she wants to be picked up.
baby gear love
the walker is a god send when she wants out of her high chair and we need to finish doing things around the house. she follows you around and typically tries to stir up trouble (like opening the liquor cabinet, pulling down all of the kitchen towels, knocking over the bar stools, and trying to rip down the curtains!). she is so different than henry was in this way... i dont think we even had locks on the cabinets, he was just never interested in trying to get into them. she is going to be trouble i think.
outings
she had a sleepover at grammy nee's and grampy dee's. sleep didnt go very well but maybe we can try again sometime! she also went to her first portland sea dogs game!
diapers
still using size 4 target brand. havent had any problems with them (henry got bad diaper rash) and it seems to be the right size still.
diet
there isnt anything this girl wont eat. we tried peanut butter puffs, yogurt and egg... no reactions and she cant get enough! she really enjoys feeding herself (likely because she knows she will get a bath after and this kid loves baths!)
likes
everything. seriously, this kid is so happy. especially if you are feeding her. she loves her brother and dog and cat, sitting on the floor with her toys waiting for bathtime, and obviously loves her baths. still loves swinging on the swing, going in the pool, and watching simple songs with papa.
dislikes
trying to sleep anywhere other than home, when you try to feed her when she doesnt want to be fed, and changing her diaper now is basically like wrestling a snake. good times.
